14/05/2009 (CM Blog Entry "GUILD
WARRRRRR")
PREPARING FOR WAR
Illyasviel says "FOR THE HORDE!", above
Thanks to the
50 or so gamers who joined us in the inaugural Emporia War test yesterday at 8pm
GMT +8, we finally tested the feature full-scale!
Guilds had 5 hours to
bid for the right to Challenge the current Emporia defenders, "IAH". (In future,
you'll have multiple Emporias to bid for, and there will be multiple grades of
Emporia.)
Guild
VagnerHaox won the bid, and there were some frenzied moments of
recruitment in-game for both teams as we topped up our ranks in the 30min
preparation time for the war.
Guild IAH was composed
of staff and moderators, with slots open for 6 guild leaders to nominate 3 of
their members for participation, on a first-come-first-served basis.
The
actual battle may range from 30mins and up, depending on the grade of the
Emporia.
We only tested one of the base tier ones for CBT. The team that
takes down the opponents' Main Core will win. (But you'll have to take down the
Sub-Core first or it will regenerate the Main one.)
If both side don't manage
to take down the opponent's Main Core by end of battle, the team with highest
points for kills and damage
wins.

Here are the
highlights!
CHARGE FOR THE
SUB-CORE

"Raawwwrrrr!!"
LEAVE A REAR
GUARD ON YOUR MAIN CORE
Your enemies will either charge in with tanks, dash in and out to
DPS, or sneak in with Stealthies, so keep an eye out.
VICTORY!

dealing the most damage, above.

OTHER GAMER
ADVENTURES
"Konoha Party" (with Maid Rose as a
skimpily-clad and taller-than usual Sakura).
We LOL-ed at this creative
re-interpretation.

PvE Hero:
Kenzai
Capping first on the server and soloing
Lavalon while 3 GMs burrowed and watched. *Munch popcorn*
We hear he's leveling a Thief now.
Oh wait, he's also leveling an Archer.

PvP Hero:
Raxael
It's not just playing long hours and
playing well.
It's not ditching the match after your
team-mates desert, and going 1 v 4 against a team with a couple of GMs.
THAT'S Sportsmanship.
