I. Introduction
Okay to before we begin I tested on a PS3 six axis controller. If you do not know how to set up a PS3 controller, please read II. If you have a normal game pad controller, skip on to III.
II. PS3 Controller Setup
The PS3 controller needs drivers in order for it to work on the pc. To do that go here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?mtninoi2k0y
or here:http://www.2shared.com/file/5954360/...s_package.html
For Dragonica, you will only need
- libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1 (USB Driver/Filter Package)
- ps3sixaxis_en (Controller Initiator)
1. Simply Extract the files to your desktop. Install libusb-win32-filter-bin-0.1.10.1
2. Restart your computer.
3. Plug in the ps3 controller.
4. If it doesnt light up hit the ps button (center button on the controller).
5. After that, double click on ps3sixaxis_en
(every time you restart your computer you must repeat steps 4 and 5) Now to test it go to your "Game Controllers" in control panel
go to properties and press your keys to see if they work. if it doesn't work try pressing the PS button and try again.
Now the PC recognize the PS3 controller. Time to set it up for Dragonica~
III. Joy2Key Setup
**[Notice] I do not know how to perfectly set up the analog sticks in order to use it to move your character and such. I will update later if I figure it out.**
IV. Questions/CommentsFirst Download the file at http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key...%20Version.htm (At the bottom of the page.)
Exact the folder to your desktop. there should be 2 files in there, JoyTokey.exe and the readme.
Double Click JoytoKey.exe. You see that it has a whole bunch of Button #s that are unassigned.
Also open up your Game Controller Properties by going to Control Panel->Game Controllers-> Properties
It will look something like this :
{Also Open up Dragonica and go to the Change Keyboard Settings to see your complete layout. This will help a lot for the next steps)
Now everytime you press a button a number lights up.
For Example: By pressing "X" on the PS3 controller the number "15" lights up.
Now go back to JoytoKey, look up Button 15.
Right Click and select Configure This Button
In the Yellow Highlighted Area, type the key you want to assign.
Lets say you wish the PS3 button X to be Jump (by default this is C in Dragonica)
So you would type "C" in the yellow highlighted area.
Do this for all the keys on your Gamepad and test it out in game.
